ZAMBIA AND MALAWI VOLUNTEER TRIP
We have had to honour of touring with Every Home - Global Concern as Ambassadors performing concerts to raise funds for mosquito nets for kids in Zambia and Malawi. These 'For The Children Concerts' were a great success and we want to thank the many wonderful people who attended. 100% of the $10 admission fee goes to purchase one mosquito net and therefore save the life of a child (and probably a family) in Malawi and Zambia.
In July 2010 we had the pleasure of going to these countries to help oversee the distribution of these nets. Thank you to the many people who supported us with finances, prayer and encouragement that enabled us to get to Africa. The impact from our time in some of the poorest villages in those regions will stay with us forever. We were struck with the warmth and love we received from those dear people. The gratitude they have for the work EHC is doing in Africa is overwhelming and we felt extremely humbled in being part of the work there.

The "FOR THE CHILDREN TOUR" was a huge success. We started in Warkworth finishing in Auckland performing at 12 North Island locations in 14 nights. As NZ ambassador for "Every Home - Global Concern" Rob performed these 2 hr concerts to help purchase mosquito nets for children in Zambia. Tickets were $10 and the whole $10 went toward buying a mosquito net - saving the life of a child. There were many 'full' venues with much singing and dancing. A wonderful nights entertainment! If you missed your opportunity to catch Rob at one of these concerts you will get another opportunity in 2010. 'FOR THE CHILDREN' SOUTH ISLAND TOUR - MARCH/APRIL 2010
Every Home - Global Concern took Rob on tour in the South Island early March 2010. 20 Venues during March and April 2010. These were wonderful events, fun and entertaining. Many people came and supported the great work Rob and Every Home - Global Concern are doing.

Picton, Murchison, Westport, Greymouth, Ashburton, Oamaru, Dunedin, Cromwell, Te Anau, Gore, Invercargill, owaka, Milton, Mosgiel, Timaru, Christchurch, Kaikoura, Blenheim, Motueka, Nelson. Freephone 0800 900 200 if you missed these events and want to donate.

Rob Appears on The Beat Goes On
Rob was asked if he would be part of a Nationwide 50+ Karaoke competition that ran through to the final in November 09. As this was a charity event Rob was very happy to participate. He was asked to represent the North Shore area and North Shore Rotary were promoting this as it is their fundraising to eradicate polio worldwide.

It is part of a TV show called 'The Beat Goes On' which screens on SKY 89 and also on Triangle TV and is aimed at the 'Baby Boomers'. The show ran for 23 weeks and profiled a candidate each week.
Rob was delighted to come 2nd place in the final held on 15th November 2009.
